Most modern Bikes do no longer deliver a clear Digital RPM Signal, which can be hooked up for aftermarket Dashes like AIM, or Motec or similar, to display the RPM.

Also for Datalogging - meanwhile it is really complicated or close to impossible to implant a RPM Signal into Logging Devices, if the ECU is still stock, because lot of stock ECU's RPM to Dash Outputs are CAN-based or do have a integrated digital Signal, which is only recognized by the OEM Dash.

So this little Electronic Board helps you out - it is converting the Signal going to the Coil into a clear Digital Signal, which every Datalogger or aftermarket Tach is able to read.
